Ithaca College graduate student Logan Bruce broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles for the third time during the Division III national championship meet, as she clocked 8.49 seconds to finish second overall. Bruce finished behind Birgen Nelson of Gustavus Adolphus, who set a championship record with a time of 8.39 seconds. The runner-up placement gives Bruce her sixth career All-American honor during her career at Ithaca College. She also becomes the 150th all-time All-American in IC women's track & field history. On Friday, Bruce set multiple school records on the day as she finished second in the pentathlon with 3,748 points, to surpass her previous mark set earlier this year. Within the five events, Bruce posted a time of 8.58 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to earn 1,000 points, which broke her own record in the event. She then competed in the high jump and cleared 1.58 meters to account for 712 points. In the third event, she posted a mark of 11.17 meters in the shot put, which resulted in 606 points. The fourth event was the long jump and Bruce posted a mark of 5.46 meters for 688 points. Her final event was the 800-meter run and she posted a time of 2:26.12 for 742 points.
