In his first indoor meet of the season, RPI senior Matt Lecky set a school record in the 3,000 meters, knocking nine seconds off the previous school mark by running an 8:07.26 at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University. His time, which placed him 34th of 171 competitors in the multi-divisional field that also included unattached runners, is the sixth-fastest in Division III history.
