University of Rochester sophomore Cole Goodman started off the indoor seasonby setting a school record and earning two NCAA Top-5 performances at the Nazareth Alumni Opener on Friday evening. Goodman placed second of 60 competitors in the long jump with a school-record distance of 7.19 meters, breaking the old mark by 0.10 meters set back in 2015. That mark was a regional qualifier and currently ranks fifth in Division III this season. He also finished as the runner-up of 24 jumpers in the triple jump with an All-Atlantic Regional qualifying mark of 14.36 meters. Goodman is also ranked fifth in Division III in the triple jump at the early point of the season.
