RPI first-year athlete Emma McGuinn won the 60-meter hurdles at the Utica Holiday Classic and she helped the 4x200-meter relay team to a second-place finish. McGuinn was third in the 60H preliminaries with a time of 9.80 and then bested that with a 9.38 to win the event. The second-place finisher had a time of 9.55. She previously ran the second leg on the 4x200 relay team, helping the squad to a finish of 1:49.80, which was less than a second from SUNY Delhi's 1:49.47. RPI was six seconds in front of the third place foursome (1:55.54). McGuinn also ran the 200 meters and was 12th of 39 runners. As a team, RPI was fourth of 11 schools in the meet.
