In a dual meet against Vassar, the competition opened with the 200 medley relay, which RPI won in a time of 1:50.61 with sophomore Shannon Brown swimming the freestyle anchor. Brown went on to capture the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.54), 100-yard freestyle (54.37), and 200-yard individual medley (2:13.06) for the Engineers, who won 184-115. RPI won 13 events as a team.
