William Smith College junior goalie Kristen McCormick played a crucial role into the Herons successful season, going 17-5 and reaching the second round of the NCAA tournament. In a 4-0 first round win over Hartwick, McCormick recorded two saves in her ninth shutout of the season. In a 1-0 loss to No.4 Johns Hopkins in the second round, McCormick recorded seven saves, including a penalty stroke stop to keep the game tied at zero. She posted a 14-4 record for the Herons and recorded a 0.91 GAA and a .783 save percentage.
