William Smith College junior goalie Kristen McCormick played a crucial role in the Herons' successful postseason run resulting in a Liberty League Championship game win. McCormick posted five saves in a semifinal win at Ithaca, which resulted in a 1-0 OT win for the Herons. McCormick then continued to show strong in the championship game, recording eight saves in the 80 scoreless minutes. She then made five saves in the shootout against Rochester. McCormick was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Performer after recording 13 saves and zero goals against between the two games. She currently sits at 13-3 on the season with a 0.96 GAA and a .767 save percentage heading into the NCAA DIII Field Hockey tournament this week.
