University of Rochester first-year goalkeeper Kara Houston, made just her third and fourth starts of the year in goal this weekend and held a pair of Liberty League foes scoreless, posting shutout victories over Ithaca and Union. Against the Bombers, Houston held Ithaca scoreless for nearly 77 minutes, making nine saves while facing 18 shots. On Sunday, against Union, Houston faced seven shots and made five saves in the victory. For the week, Houston faced 25 shots, made 14 saves and earned a pair of shutout wins to help clinch the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. This season, Houston’s seen action in 11 games, making four starts and tallying 32 saves.
