RPI senior Matt Lecky averaged 4:52.8 per mile to win the 309-competitor, 8k Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle at Dream Park in Logan Township, N.J. on Saturday. He finished with a time of 24:15.1 and was victorious by 2.6 seconds. He ran the first mile at 4:41.2, which placed him behind two runners, and was at 14:36.7 at the 3-mile mark. Matt picked up the lead in the next split and went on to earn first place, leading the team to victory in the 35-school event.
