The University of Rochester Novice Eight finished as runner-up among four teams in the collegiate novice eight race at the Head of the Genesee Regatta on Saturday. Rochester ended second to Division I team Canisius and finished in a time of 20:49.1, getting beat out by just over three seconds. The Novice Eight was comprised of Lauren Ho, Kaitlyn Bartlett, Kennedy Leininger, Elizabeth Carleton, Alli Love, Meg Hanson, Lauren Irschick, Sophia Weigle and Maddie Weigle.
