At the Middlebury Invitational, RPI first-year player Andy Zhu went 4-2 overall, including 2-1 in doubles. He and sophomore Aiden Drover-Mattinen advanced to the semifinals in the 'A' Flight. They defeated a senior and freshman from Tufts 8-5 in the first round and then won 8-3 against a junior and sophomore from Colby in the second. They were eliminated 8-6 in the semifinals by a senior and first year from the Jumbos. In the 'A' Flight singles, Zhu won 7-6 (6), 6-4 against a freshman from Brandeis and 6-1, 5-7, 12-10 versus a senior from Tufts. He dropped a semifinals match 6-4, 6-1 to another senior from the Jumbos, who went on to win the flight.
