At the ITA Northeast Regional, the RPI doubles team of sophomore Lorna Flores Gonzalez and first-year Nikki Ridenour finished as the tournament runner-up after posting a 4-1 record. The RPI duo beat a junior and a first year from Vassar 8-7 (4) in the first round and then followed with an 8-7 (2) win over a junior and senior from The College of New Jersey. Their quarterfinals match was also against a pair from TCNJ, this time a senior and sophomore who they defeated 8-1. Flores Gonzalez and Ridenour advanced through the semifinals due to an injury default to one of Hamilton’s players and then dropped a 6-1, 6-3 match to a sophomore and graduate student from NYU. By playing into the final, the pair earned an automatic bid into the national ITA Cup invitational in mid-October.
