Vassar College first-year player Nolan Kubiak had an outstanding debut for the Brewers, going 2-0 in singles action and 3-0 in doubles at the season-opening Haverford Fall Invitational. Against the host Fords, he notched a 6-1, 6-4 win over Daniel Loder. He followed that up with an afternoon win against Hamilton's Eric Stein by a 6-4, 6-4 margin. He also partnered with Fernando Bauermeister for a 3-0 doubles record as they defeated pairs from Haverford (8-5), Hamilton (8-7(8-6)) and Washington (8-6).
