RPI graduate student Joey Harrigan led the Engineers to a victory in the 24-team field of the Duke Nelson Invitational at Middlebury College with a team-best -1, 141 over the two-day event. He placed second overall in the 124-competitor field, just one stroke back from the medalist. Joey shot an even par 71 on the first day, which included five birdies and 10 pars, and then took a stroke off for a -1, 70 for his total. He had five birdies and nine pars and did not shoot anything over a bogey through his 18 holes on Sunday, helping RPI shoot a 289 and move up from third place after the first day to first in the end.
