University of Rochester first-year center back Judah Thomas made some big plays defensively in his first career start for the Yellowjackets as he helped the team to a 30-17 victory over Alfred State on Saturday night. The first-year made two interceptions, tied for the team lead with seven tackles (2 solo), and added ½ a tackle for loss (5 yards) in the game. Thomas’ two picks both led to Rochester touchdown drives, with his second happening late in the fourth quarter, preserving a then 16-10 Rochester lead.
