University of Rochester junior Susan Bansbach earned a pair of All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend. She placed fourth in the 400 meters and sixth as part of the 4x400 meter relay. Bansbach broke the Rochester record in the 400 meters twice, becoming the first runner in school history to break 55 seconds (54.92) in the prelims before clocking 54.48 seconds in the finals, good for fourth. Bansbach was also the anchor leg on Rochester’s 4x400 meter relay which finished in sixth place with a time of 3:44.93. It was the second fastest time in school history. The junior completed her trip to NCAAs by also running on Rochester’s 16th place 4x100 meter relay (47.52 seconds).
