University of Rochester junior Madeline O’Connell had a terrific week competing at the All-Atlantic Regional Championships for Rochester finishing among the top-three in three events. O’Connell individual placed second in the 400 meters with a time of 55.35 seconds, the second fastest in program history and is now ranked No. 5 in Division III to end the regular season. Additionally, O’Connell ran on Rochester’s runner-up 4x400 meter relay squad which posted a new school record time of 3:44.63, ranking No. 4 in Division III. Her third event was the 4x100 meter relay and she helped Rochester finish in third with a time of 47.53 seconds. Overall, the Yellowjacket women placed 7th of 44 teams that scored a point.
