RPI first-year player Aiden Drover-Mattinen accounted for four of Rensselaer's 10 wins over the weekend as the Engineers captured the Liberty League title. In a 5-0 win over Vassar in the semifinals, he and doubles partner Peter Lohrbach had an 8-7 (8-6) win at No. 1 doubles to put RPI ahead 3-0. Drover-Mattinen then earned the first singles point with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Jay Wong while playing No. 1. On Sunday in the championship match against Skidmore, he and Lohrbach won 8-3 for the Engineers' lone doubles point before putting RPI ahead 3-2 with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win, Zach Portnoy at No. 1 singles. Rensselaer defeated the Thoroughbreds 5-3.
