University of Rochester junior Susan Bansbach was named Liberty League Track Performer of the Meet at the Liberty League Championships as she helped the Yellowjackets to their first-ever Liberty League Women’s Track and Field title. The junior sprinter won three league titles and set three meet records while adding a runner-up finish in her fourth event. Bansbach set a new Liberty League conference record in the 200 meters, running a time of 24.81 seconds, currently ranking No. 27 in Division III. Additionally, the junior ran the outdoor 800 meters for just the fifth time in her career and set a meet record of 2:12.84 to rank 19th on the Division III performance list. Bansbach’s third victory came on Rochester’s 4x100-meter relay which posted a meet record time of 48.43 seconds. Her fourth event, the 100 meters, saw Bansbach end as runner-up with a personal-best time of 12.40 seconds.
