University of Rochester's Nishant Datta captured his first career victory, earning medalist honors at the Yellowjackets' Fred Kravetz Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The senior fired rounds of 73 and 75 to finish at +5 (148) for the 36-hole event at Irondequoit Country Club and Oak Hill Country Club. Datta’s win helped propel the Yellowjackets to the team title, posting a score of 599, defeating runner-up and #5 Wittenberg by four strokes. Overall, eight teams and 42 individuals competed in the tournament. Datta led the tournament in both par-3 scoring (1-under) and par-5 scoring (3-under) and ranked second in the field with eight total birdies in the event.
