William Smith College senior midfielder Payton McMahon led the Herons' defense to a 2-0 week against Liberty League opponents. The two-way midfielder finished the week with eight points on three goals and five assists, four ground balls, four caused turnovers and eight draw controls. In the first half against RIT, McMahon had two assists and three draw controls as William Smith's starters limited the Tigers to three shots. On Saturday against Rochester, McMahon had a career-high four caused turnovers. She matched her career-high six points on three goals and three assists. McMahon added five draw controls and four ground balls. McMahon leads the Herons with 19 caused turnovers and is third on the team with 23 ground balls. At the offensive end of the field, she has 32 points on 20 goals and 12 assists.
