University of Rochester senior Jacob Matzat had a record-breaking week for Rochester as the Yellowjackets posted a 4-0 record on the week. The senior designated hitter batted .650 (13-20) with 10 extra base hits, including four doubles, two triples and four home runs. He added 16 RBI, 10 runs scored and produced a slugging percentage of 1.650. He had multiple hits in all four games, including going 5-for-6 and hitting for the cycle in Rochester’s 18-10 win over Clarkson on Saturday. In that game he scored four times added a school-record tying nine runs batted in, matching the previous mark set in 1951. Matzat raised his season batting average from .308 to .457 after this week.
