William Smith College sophomore Kate Risley guided the Herons' defensive effort in a 2-0 week. She recorded a team-high six caused turnovers and totaled six ground balls in the two games. Against 25th-ranked St. John Fisher, Risley logged two ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 16-9 victory. On Saturday against Skidmore, Risley had three caused turnovers and four ground balls. The Herons used a smothering defensive effort to limit the Thoroughbreds to a season-low 10 shots. On the week, William Smith held opponents to 14 goals. Risley currently leads the Herons with 16 caused turnovers. She also has 21 ground balls.
