University of Rochester junior Madeline O’Connell finished first in the pole vault and also placed third in the 200 meters at the SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invitational. In the pole vault, O’Connell won by .25 meters, posting a winning height of 3.75 meters. The mark currently ranks sixth in Division III this season and is second-best in the Liberty League. O’Connell’s time in the 200 meters was a personal-best 25.34 seconds, placing third of 74 competitors. That time is top-25 nationally and third-best in the Liberty League.
