University of Rochester first-year Gary Pan finished in 80th place among 150 golfers at the Jekyll Island Invitational over the weekend, helping the Yellowjackets to a seventh place team finish. The rookie concluded the tournament with a three-day score of 225 after rounds of 75-73-77 to finish the event at 9-over par. Pan finished the par-3 holes at 1-over for the tournament, ranking 17th in the field. He also carded 33 pars and eight birdies during the event which featured eight of the top-10 teams in Division III and 16 teams ranked inside the top-25. Rochester as a team recorded a team score of 864 over the 54-hole event and had two of the top-four best team rounds in school history.
