University of Rochester sophomore Tom Liu was the leader for Rochester at the Jekyll Island Invitational over the weekend. He finished in a tie for 10th place overall (among 150 golfers) shooting a score of 211 through 54 holes at the Pine Lakes Course. His 5-under par score was a career-best for three rounds and the tournament featured him breaking his individual career-low round twice (70 in round one and 69 in round three). Liu finished tied for third in the field with 41 pars over the tournament and was fourth in par-4 scoring at (4-under). Rochester as a team finished the tournament at even-par 864 for the three rounds, placing 7th among 30 teams. UR’s tournament featured the third and fourth best team rounds in school history (283 in round two and 285 in round one).
