In two matches last week, RPI first-year Igor Visnevskij won both of his singles matches as the Engineers went 2-0. He came back to defeat a freshman from Division II Northwood 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 while playing No. 3 to help RPI to a 6-3 victory. Visnevskij then won at No. 1, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7 over a junior from Emerson in a match the team captured 9-0. It was the first time Igor played in the top singles position in his career.
