University of Rochester first-year Colby Cruser got it done both on the mound and at the plate for the Yellowjackets during a 6-0 week in South Carolina. At bat, Cruser hit .438 (7-16) with 6 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 home run and 5 RBI. He recorded four walks for a .550 on-base percentage and slugged .750 in his five games. On the mound Cruser earned the win during Rochester’s 14-1 victory over Rivier on Saturday. The first-year lefty went six innings, allowed just three hits, an unearned run while fanning 11 batters, the most by a Rochester pitcher so far this season.
