University of Rochester senior catcher Luke Piontek hit .529 (9-17) at the plate for Rochester as the Yellowjackets went a perfect 6-0 during its spring break trip in South Carolina. The senior catcher led UR with 10 runs scored, added 3 doubles, a triple and 4 RBI during the week. He added five walks and reached base at a .636 clip for the week. Additionally, he was a perfect 30-for-30 in defensive chances. Piontek recorded multiple hits in three games, including posting back-to-back 3-hit performances against Ursinus on Thursday. He was 3-for-3 in each game of UR’s doubleheader sweep.
