In two NCAA Tournament games, RPI senior forward Mason Memmelaar led the Engineers in scoring and rebounding with averages of 19.0 and 7.0, respectively. He made 45.5% of his shots (15-of-33) from the floor and added five assists, a block and four steals while averaging 36.5 minutes per game. In a 78-58 win over Nichols in the first round, he had 23 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field and 6-of-6 from the line, along with a game-high 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36:03. The next night at No. 8 Wesleyan, Mason scored 15 points (7 of 16) with four boards, a block and two steals in a 59-58 victory. Defensively, he and his teammates held teams that both averaged around 85 points to under 60.
