University of Rochester junior Madeline O'Connell picked up two wins for the Yellowjackets during the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up on Friday evening. O’Connell won the pole vault with a height of 3.51 meters, an All-Atlantic Region qualifying mark. Additionally, O’Connell ran the 400 meters for the first time in her career and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region meet with a time of 59.30 seconds, winning the event by half a second. O’Connell’s 400-meter time is fourth-best in the Liberty League this season and is inside Division III’s top 50.
