In a dual meet at Skidmore, RPI first-year Shannon Brown was victorious in two individual events and posted a pair of second place finishes. She won the 100 freestyle in 55.30 and the 200 individual medley in 2:13.72, defeating the runner-up, teammate Colleen Whittaker, by nearly three seconds (2:16.61). Shannon was second to Whittaker by less than a second in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.67-1:10.41) and helped the 200 medley relay team to a runner-up finish (1:56.95). RPI won 15 of 17 events in the meet, including all swim races, on its way to a 208-78 team triumph.
