University of Rochester first-year athlete Cole Goodman had a win and third-place result in the horizontal jumps last Saturday at the Winter Welcome Back to Brockport meet, posting regional qualifiers in both events. Goodman’s win came in the triple jump where he posted a distance of 14.75 meters, breaking the Rochester school record by one centimeter. His mark also is the fourth-best distance in Division III this season. Goodman also currently ranks 37th in the long jump in Division III after his jump of 6.79 meters in a third-place finish. Both of his jumps are the top distances in the Liberty League this season. As a team, Rochester finished second of six teams in the meet scoring.
