In a dual meet at Union, RPI first-year Shannon Brown was victorious in all four events in which she swam, including a pair of individual wins. She began by swimming leadoff on the 200 medley relay team that won with a time of 1:54.83, which was four seconds ahead of the runner-up squad, another team from RPI (1:58.24). She then won the eight-competitor 50 freestyle with a time of 25.95, edging teammate Mariam Tharwat's second place time of 26.25. Shannon swam in the four-person 200 backstroke, touching the wall in 2:13.14 with teammate Alyssa Cahill coming in second in 2:14.20. She finished by swimming second on the 400 free relay, which her squad won in a time of 3:47.19. The unit had a 20-second victory over the runner-up (4:07.67). RPI won all 16 events in the meet on its way to a 211-67 team triumph.
