The Statesmen continued to dominate the Liberty League Championships, securing the program's seventh consecutive title with an 11.3 second victory over second place Union. The Hobart varsity eight of Sarah Tanzer, Coty Burgess, Nicholas Baca, Robert McNamara, Rob Nanovsky, W. Hunter Holtz, Nick Hindle, Owen Monahan and Joe Biesemeyer raced down the 2,000-meter Fish Creek course in 6:27.0. Burgess is the only oarsman who was in Hobart's V8+ last season. He went from bow to stroke following the graduation of his other eight crewmates.
