Ithaca College sophomore Jack Wadsworth had a historic weekend for Ithaca College at the three-day Bomber Invitational. In the 200-yard IM, he bested the competition for a program-best, Liberty League record and NCAA B-cut qualifying time of 1:50.21. He closed out the race in exciting fashion beating Jack Cimorelli of SUNY Geneseo by over a second (1:51.50). On Saturday morning, he put together his best performance to date in the 400-yard IM. Wadsworth won the event with a time of 3:59.20. The recorded time by Wadsworth was an Ithaca College program record, Liberty League record and an NCAA "B" cut. It was also a historic 100-yard backstroke event that got the fans on their feet with a first, second and third place finish for Ithaca. Wadsworth bettered his program record in the event and it was a "B" cut qualification time of 48.14. It was also a Liberty League record. On Sunday, he continued his dominance by re-breaking his program record in the 200-yard backstroke. Not only did Wadsworth break his program record, but his time of 1:46.54 in the 200-yard backstroke won the event, was a Liberty League record and an NCAA "B" cut qualifying time.
