St. Lawrence University sophomore Petra DeRose had a great weekend in the Saints' No. 4 spot and helped lead the short-handed Saints to three wins. DeRose opened her weekend with an 11-4, 11-1, 11-4 sweep against Colgate's Sarah van Dyke. The sophomore followed up the win with a comeback win on Saturday. DeRose lost the first set of her match against Hamilton's Eleanor Bailey 11-13, then settled in winning the next three sets 11-7, 11-6, 11-5. That was the only set DeRose lost on the weekend as she swept Wesleyan's Sydney Smith 11-4, 11-2, 11-8 to close out the weekend.
