Vassar College senior Claire Coss had an outstanding weekend to open the season for the Brewers, going 4-0 from the top of the ladder. In a 9-0 win against Fordham, she posted an 11-2, 11-3, 11-3 win against Gabriella Amaturo, followed by a gutsy 11-4, 12-14, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9 victory against Northeastern's Sabrina Gribbel to help lead VC to a 5-4 win over the Huskies. Sunday's action saw her post an 11-5, 11-5, 11-4 win from one as Vassar beat Boston University, 7-2. She closed out her weekend with a critical win against Colgate. With the match tied at 4-all, Coss powered her way to an 11-5, 12-10, 11-7 win over Haley Bloch for the team victory. On the weekend, the Brewers went a perfect 4-0.
