In a tri-meet against Saint Rose and Oneonta, RPI first-year swimmer Jimmy Zhen earned four victories, including two as an individual and two in relays. Zhen started the meet by swimming leadoff on the victorious 400 medley relay team that won in a time of 3:35.48, which was 14 seconds ahead of the runner-up (3:49.92). He then won the 100 free in 48.76 (runner-up was 49.53) and his third event was the 100 butterfly, which he won in 54.18 (runner-up was 55.24). Zhen closed the meet by swimming second on the 200 free relay team, which won in 1:29.35, a time that was four seconds in front of the next best team (1:33.55). RPI defeated the Division II Golden Knights 174-66 and the Red Dragons 175-109.
