WPI senior running back Ernie Mello ran for 96 yards on 21 carries and scored three touchdowns in WPI’s 31-3 win against Becker. Mello capped a five-play drive with a five-yard run to the end zone in the first quarter that gave the Crimson and Gray a 10-0 lead, and WPI never looked back. He led an Engineer rushing attack that totaled 237 yards on the ground on 43 carries. Mello also had a kickoff return for 54 yards.
