Hobart College senior Sam Cuddeback won the 36-hole Oswego State Fall Invitational over the weekend with a two-round score of 155 (74-71). He's the first Statesman to secure individual medalist honors since 2012. Cuddeback was the Round 1 leader with a three-over 74 at Oswego Country Club. He carded 15 pars and three bogeys on Saturday. Cuddeback opened play Sunday with a one-shot lead of Delhi's Tom Christofferson. Cuddeback expanded his lead to as many as five on the front nine, but entered the final three holes tied with Christofferson. Cuddeback reclaimed sole possession of the lead with a par on 16, but slipped back into a tie after bogeying 17. The tournament title came down to the par 3, 177-yard 18th hole. Christofferson posted a bogey and Cuddeback carded his 22nd par of the weekend to secure the victory. Fifty golfers representing nine teams competed in the tournament. Hobart was third in the team standings.
