The Hobart College doubles team of junior Harry Lyu and first-year Troy Steiner won A Flight doubles at the SLU Fall Classic to open the 2021-22 season. Lyu and Steiner opened the tournament with an 8-6 win over Rochester's Kai Yuminaga and Krish Vennam. In the quarterfinals, they bested Hamilton's Brian Wang and Ethan Chin 8-3. On Sunday they rallied to defeat another Hamilton duo 8-7 (7-4) before knocking off teammates Kaan Ayman and Jett Wright 8-3 in the Championship match.
