University of Rochester sophomore Madeline O’Connell scored in three events for Rochester during the All-Atlantic Regional Championships last week, helping the Yellowjackets to a fourth place finish in the team standings. O’Connell finished as runner-up in the pole vault with a school record height of 3.82 meters, a mark which ranked 6th in Division III and qualified her for nationals. In addition, O’Connell ran on Rochester’s school record setting 4x100 meter relay team which finished third in 48.20 seconds. Her last event was the 200 meters, and the sophomore posted a personal record time of 25.57 seconds and recorded a point for her team with an 8th place result.
