Vassar College first-year Sofie Shen went undefeated in the first playoff action of her career last week, going 1-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. With partner Cara Kizilbash at two, the duo defeated St. Lawrence's second pair by an 8-5 margin. Shen also posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory against SLU's Rachel Caplan in third singles. Then in the Championship Match at Skidmore, she and Kizilbash earned the Brewers lone point with an 8-4 win over Skidmore's #2 pair, she was also up 6-4 in singles against Lily Feldman, before the match concluded with the fifth point.
