The St. Lawrence University Men's Novice 8 finished in first place in the combined Men's Varsity Eight/Novice Eight race.  The Saints' novice boat took first place with a time of 7:50.80, topping Hobart by 5.1 seconds and RIT by almost 30 seconds. Ithaca and the University of Rochester finished fourth and fifth respectively. The Novice Eight consisted of Alleigh Szabo, Jack Whamond, James Starck Jr., Gehrig Moroney, Andrew Morris, Ryan Wilhelm, Angus McAndrew, Robert Fusting and Alec Helmer
