University of Rochester sophomore Aaron Whitley was again a sparkplug at the top of the order for the Yellowjackets during a 4-2 week on the diamond. The sophomore outfielder hit .448 (13-for-29) with nine runs, six doubles, two home runs and a team-best 11 RBI. He added two walks, one hit by pitch and was 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. He slugged .862 for the week and reached base by a .500 clip. Whitley’s best game came during game two on Saturday against St. Lawrence, where he was 5-for-6 with two doubles, two runs and six RBI. He added two stolen bases in the win and matched a recorded Rochester single-game record for hits in a game with five. Four of his six games finished with multiple hits.
