The men's varsity eight of T.J. Binotto, Chris Massey, Sean Kennelly, Evan Moreshead, Nick Lipala, Chris Donnelly, George Spragins, Fielding Confer, and Chris Guerra opened the day with a solid start, but found themselves down two seats to Hamilton at the 1,000 meter mark. The Tigers stuck to their race plan and sprinted through the Hamilton crew in the final 500 meters to win by five seconds in 6:21.39.
