Playing No. 1 singles and doubles in Rensselaer's season opener against Skidmore, RPI graduate student Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez went 2-0 to lead the Engineers to a 6-3 victory over the previously undefeated Thoroughbreds in Troy. The visitors jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a win at No. 2 doubles but Castillo-Sanchez and Andrew Imrie evened things with an 8-7 (7-5) victory. Castillo-Sanchez went on to post a 6-2, 6-2 win in singles as RPI captured four of six matches.
