Ithaca College grad student Buzz Shirley hit .500 (8-for-16) over four games last week with 12 RBI, four runs scored and two homeruns. Shirley began the week by driving in four runs on two hits (one homer) in a 14-3 win over Clarkson. At Clarkson the following day, he went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double in game one and concluded the weekend with six RBI on a 3-for-5 day at the plate with another homerun. He was also perfect in the field, converting on all 24 chances, and threw 6.0 innings with six strikeouts in a no-decision against Clarkson in game two on April 23.
