Freshman Michael Fields was unbeaten in every match he played in a 3-0 week for the Hobart tennis team. He started the week with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles against Nazareth on Monday. Against Rochester on Thursday, Fields earned a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles and teamed up with junior Bruce Grant to log an 8-5 win at the top doubles spot. On Saturday, Fields defeated his RIT opponent 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5 singles and again paired with Grant for an 8-3 triumph at No. 1 doubles. Fields leads Hobart with a 14-3 overall singles record. The pair of Fields and Grant lead the Statesmen with an 8-3 overall doubles mark. Hobart is now 13-3 this season.
